2017 National Teachers’ Day

Udon Thani governor Chayawut Chanthorn presided over the 61st Teachers’ Day ceremony at Udon Thai Rajabhat University on Jan 16. 

The annual event aimed to pay respect to teachers or educators and also strengthen relationship between them and people in general, which will benefit the nation’s educational and social development. It was another practical way in promoting the traditional way of practice of which all the Thais have become proud. Apart from giving alms to 61 monks, the activities including a ceremony to remember the teachers and reading messages given by prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and the Education minister Teerakiat Jareonsettasin.

Awards were given to teachers to recognize their achievements in 2016. Among those were 15 teachers of Udon Thai Rajabhat University. They featured Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangsamorn Kitkosol, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siri Duangporn, Asst. Prof. Niphon Sangsuthi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Itthipol Singham, Asst. Prof. Dr.Churairatjinda Akhanit, Asst. Prof. Phaiboon Booppha, Asst. Prof. Dejanan Boonphan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Muangpathom, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chulamas Chansrisukot, Dr. Aronsri Uesriwong, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rapeeporn Sroi-nam, Assoc. Prof. Prabhakorn Kaewwann, Assoc. Prof. Suthasna Sutthikulsombat, Asst. Prof.Dr. Wanich Chaisaeng and Euangprai Promsakha Na Sakhon Nakhon.
